Cooking basics for busy people taught by a Registered/Licensed Dietitian.

Wendy Wesley, RDN/LDN is a licensed and registered dietitian/nutritionist who wants to help people get back into the kitchen for improved health. She founded the Boil Water Cooking School to help individuals and groups gain more confidence in the kitchen and save money through basic cooking. Boil Water Cooking School is unique among cooking schools because nutrition education is included with every lesson. Basic methods of cooking are taught so students can work faster in their home kitchens and get dinner on the table in 30 minutes or less. Wendy is also available for the following services:

Wendy is a clinical dietitian for an acute care hospital and a cardiac outpatient nutrition educator. She also provides nutrition education to an inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. On weekends she volunteers as a guest cook at St. Petersburg's Saturday Morning Market. She is licensed with the State of Florida as a dietitian/nutritionist (ND 8024) and registered through the Commission on Dietetic Registration. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Pinellas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Pricing

  • Group cooking instruction - $35/lesson/person with a minimum of 4 people
  • Individual one-on-one cooking instruction in your home - $100/hour with a 2-hour minimum
  • "Mise en Place" assessment and fine-tuning of your kitchen - $75/hour
  • Grocery store tour and label reading lessons - $100 per person (1.5 hours)
  • Customized menus with your health needs in mind - $75/hour with a 2-hour minimum   
  • Medical Nutrition Therapy counseling - $75/hour
  • Nutrition-related presentations to your group - $125 per presentation
